WHY DON’T WE HAVE A CHURCH BULLETIN BOARD
I have been asked that question for years. We just never had a location to put one up. Well, NOW WE DO! The location is right next to the Church Library. They have given us half of their bulletin board.

So what will go up there? Things for other members to know like…

  • I have a car, boat, camper for sale
  • I have a house or room to rent
  • You can put your business card up there
  • Any news item where you have or need something.

Please submit all items to the church office or Pastor Al on Sundays.

The Men’s Prayer Team Meets on the 1st Saturday of every month.

CELEBRATION SUNDAY – MAY 6TH
Every Sunday of Worship is a great blessing to all but this particular Sunday will be a grand celebration. We just finished Financial Peace University. On Sunday we celebrate 130 adults, 23 teenagers and 20 children who graduated from FPU classes. Those graduates have learned how money really works, how God views money and how to be responsible with what I have been given. They know the danger of debt and why and how to save money. They have learned to live a lifestyle of generous giving. Don’t miss the blessings of being here!

PARENT/ CHILD DEDICATION MAY 13TH
We all look forward to a precious annual event at King’s. Sunday, May 13 is Mother’s Day and we will have Parent/Child Dedication in our Worship Service. There will be a registration form at the Welcome Desk or you can sign up at vero.church. Submission deadline is Monday May 7th. Parent/Child dedication is for all parents who have added new children to your home in the past year or who have not had the opportunity to publicly dedicate themselves and their child to the Lord’s purpose.

MEMBERSHIP MATTERS
Friday, May 18th at 6:00pm
An informative dinner at Pastor Frank and Terri’s home for those interested in becoming a member! Fill out the Blue Pew Card or fill out on-line form below if you would like to attend.

JOY GROUP FOR MAY 19th, 12 NOON
We are so excited to have Rance Williams speak. Rance is a new member since November, 2017. He is an active substitute teacher in our adult classes. Rance will be speaking at Joy Group on Archaeology in the land of the Bible. Lance has made 7 trips to the Holy Land and worked right along side archaeologists. His presentation will include pictures and actual artifacts from Israel. I encourage everyone not to miss this unique program. Flyers for sharing this with friends are at the Welcome Desk.

SAMSON SOCIETY
This group is for men who have a tendency to isolate themselves; it is not a Bible study but a time to be real about struggles and temptations. We meet on Thursday evenings from 7:00-8:00 in room 400. Contact Pastor Bob for more details.

COME SING WITH THE CHOIR
Interested in making a joyful noise unto the Lord? All are welcome, but there is a specific need for more MEN’S voices in the choir. Please see Kelley for more details.

LAVISH GRACE T-SHIRTS STILL AVAILABLE
If you missed out on purchasing the Lavish Grace t-shirts during the Ladies Retreat, you still have time. Please see Mary DeHaas at the Welcome Desk to pick up yours. $10 apiece.

We are looking forward to a fun-filled week of sports and fitness activities! Each day kids will have snacks and a Bible Story, as well as choosing activities such as basketball, soccer, flag football, fitness, archery, and field games. We are also excited to have a kid-friendly Ninja Warrior Course!

Kids have different track options to choose from based on their age: Tracks are listed in the form below or at the Welcome Desk.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

What do my kids need to bring?
A lot of our activities will be outside. We ask children to come in comfortable (but modest) clothing, closed-toe shoes, and a hat. We will have water stations set up throughout the campus, but ask children to bring a water bottle. Please have sunscreen applied before coming to camp each day.

How do I select a track option?
Look at the tracks that are available for your child’s age group. In the appropriate box on the registration form, input your child’s desired track option. We only have a certain number of spots available for each track, and we assign spots on a first come basis. If you decide to wait until the first day of camp to register, we will assign your child to the tracks we have available.

Are all the activities outside?
No. Our Bible story and snack time will be inside, so kids will have at least one hour inside each day. Basketball will also take place inside. We will have tents and water coolers set up at each outside activity, and will have frequent water breaks at each activity.

YOUTH WORK DAY, MAY 12th
Pastor Bob has scheduled another Youth Work Day, so get your next round of TO-DO list projects ready!! Help fill up the day’s schedule and contact Pastor Bob with ANY and ALL projects that the youth and a few adult supervisors could do for you. Thank you for partnering with our youth as they raise funds to lower the cost of mission trips this summer.
