Words of Ministry  Pastor Al Walsh
Invocation  Pastor Tyler Bursick
Hymns and Songs of His Glorious Sacrifice
     Jesus Paid It All
Responsive Reading: Isaiah 53: 1-6
LEADER
Who has believed what he has heard from us?
And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
For He grew up before him like a young plant,
and like a root out of dry ground;
He had no form or majesty that we should look at Him,
and no beauty that we should desire Him.
PEOPLE
He was despised and rejected by men;
a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief;
and as one from whom men hide their faces
He was despised, and we esteemed Him not.
LEADER
Surely He has borne our griefs
and carried our sorrows;
PEOPLE
Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
smitten by God, and afflicted.
LEADER
But He was pierced for our transgressions;
He was crushed for our iniquities;
PEOPLE
Upon Him was the chastisement that brought us peace,
and with His wounds we are healed.
ALL
All we like sheep have gone astray;
we have turned—every one—to his own way;
and the Lord has laid on Him
the iniquity of us all.
      Man of Sorrows
      There is A Fountain
Together In Emotional Prayer 1 Peter 5.7-8
casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

QUESTION Should those who have faith in Christ seek their salvation through their own works. or anywhere else?
ANSWER No, everything necessary to salvation is found in Christ
Sermon We Are Not Tadpoles! Emotional Proverbial Wisdom Passages from Proverbs   Frank Ellis

FEAR AND BOLDNESS

1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.
9:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight.
28:1 The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion.

ANGER AND RESTRAINT

10:12 Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all offenses.
19:11 Good sense makes one slow to anger, and it is his glory to overlook an offense.
29:22 A man of wrath stirs up strife, and one given to anger causes much transgression.
14:29 Whoever is slow to anger has great understanding, but he who has a hasty temper exalts folly.
16:32 Whoever is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.

JEALOUSY AND TRANQUILITY

27:4 Wrath is cruel, anger is overwhelming, but who can stand before jealousy?
24:19 Fret not yourself because of evildoers, and be not envious of the wicked, 20 for the evil man has no future; the lamp of the wicked will be put out. Cheerfulness and the Gospel
15:15 All the days of the afflicted are evil, but the cheerful of heart has a continual feast.
17:22 A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
15:30 The light of the eyes rejoices the heart, and good news refreshes the bones.
